Came here for a coffee date. Parking can be a hassle but we found a lot, and street parking might be available if you're lucky. I got the seasonal honey latte, it was a little sweet for me but still enjoyable. I liked the vibe of the place. They also serve wine so that seemed like something we might come back to check out. The ricotta and jam toast was really sweet for me and heavy. Service was really patient and helpful as they helped us narrow down our choices.

I love Hopper & Burr! I've been coming here for the better part of 8 years, I think. The surrounding neighborhood has changed so much, but this stalwart of a coffee shop has remained. First off, ordering is a breeze, and it feels so open, conceptually. You order with the barista up front near the espresso machine. From their standard 'spros and teas to their seasonal offerings, you really can't go wrong! I usually go with a flat white or an espresso tonic, and they are wonderful here. The flat white is a clean, no nonsense drink that I love better than a latte, because it's more coffee-forward, but still with a good amount of milk. The tonic is wildly different: espresso with tonic water, and orange flavoring. Refreshing, fizzy, and tropical! Get this if you love soda and love coffee and don't mind expanding your horizons! Cheers, Y'all!

I stopped here one morning before work. I got a regular latte. They have a variety of drinks and food options too. It was easy to place an order and got my drink quickly.

I love hopper & burr and have been coming here for years. They have such unique drinks and a seasonal menu so there's always something to try. I usually get a matcha latte and it's always perfect. We like to come here for a quick drink or even bring our laptops and work for a couple of hours since it's a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. I think about the ricotta and jam toast on a weekly basis, it is soo good. But recently, I noticed the ricotta is spread really thinly and not as filled as before which I hope isn't the new way of making it. It used to be a perfect balance of creaminess and the tartness of the jam but now it's just mostly jam.. :(

Walking into the store we were welcomed by a super nice barista! It being my first time here she was very helpful! I decided to go with a black iced tea! Which was very yummy! Didn't taste to dark and was on the lighter side! We also got an iced americano as well as a ham and cheese croissant! The only thing I didn't like about this place was seating! It seems to just be more of stools. It's more a stop and go place because if I were to come with a group I would be worried about seating

A local bartender recommended this place and wasn't disappointed. It's a studio style coffee bar with lots of open space to study or just relax. The barista there was good at explaining what was on the menu and how things were made inhouse including their nut milks. I got the iced mocha with almond milk and I can tell from flavor and texture that indeed it was made inhouse because I've made almond milk at home and the little extra texture of the almond milk is evident so definitely everything is made on location so it's fresh. It's got a zen vibe so don't go if you're in a rush. Just go because you want to enjoy a morning coffee before starting the day off right!

Definitely one of my must-stops before starting a fun day in Downtown Santa Ana! PARKING: Street parking, which can be easy or hard to find depending on when you go. My recommendation? Google "Downtown Santa Ana Parking" for a map of city-owned parking structures, which are all a pretty quick walk away from the shop. Why? On weekdays it's free until 5pm, and on weekends you get your first two hours free. WHAT WE ORDERED: - Iced chai latte - Seasonal: Root beer THE DRINKS: The chai latte was delicious, perfectly spiced and not too diluted by the milk. What intrigued us the most was the root beer, which was a homemade root beer topped with espresso. I was definitely surprised by the combination - I didn't expect the two to work so well together! But it's probably an acquired taste, so if your tastebuds are less brave, I probably wouldn't order it. SERVICE: Amazing! You can tell they're taking their time and emphasizing quality. They make your drinks before you pay. And they love to answer questions. VIBES: Great for either catching up with friends or getting work done. Here's my work from coffee shop checklist: * OUTLETS: Yes, but few * WIFI/INTERNET: Yes * VOLUME: On the quieter side when we visited on the weekend * SEATING AVAILABILITY: Fairly good amount, both bar seating and tables * WATER: Pitcher that you can pour into a glass yourself * BATHROOMS: Yes, clean * LAPTOP FRIENDLINESS: No restrictions that I know of BOTTOM LINE: A must-go especially if you're into creative and innovative drinks, but they still nail the more traditional drinks. The menu rotates by season.
